Jen Raygoza

About me: Jennifer Raygoza lives in Corona, California with her husband and children. She developed a love for writing poetry at the young age of twelve. She did not want to become a writer when she was young. She had dreams of becoming a Marriage Counsellor and majored in Psychology when she was older. Although that dream did not work out she still council’s relationship advice to friends and family. In 2013 she published her first book called The Guardians. Originally it was a story written for fun, and out of curiosity was self-published. Little did she know that it would be a hit with vampire lovers. Fans encouraged her to write part two in the series. She was currently working on another project, but pushed it back to write part two in the series to please the fans. The third and final book in The Guardians series is in the works set to come out 9/2014.

Teaser One
I wondered what happened to my life. I sometimes longed to be human again. I was not equipped to deal with a child, let alone two teenage vampires. I always thought having a child would be difficult, but I never imagined how much harder it would be with vampire children. Caleb had no explanation for vampire pregnancy. He said vampire women rarely gave birth but when they did, it was one child in their lifetime. There were rumours about the alignment of the sun, moon, and earth being to blame. Others claimed that only those with royalty in their blood were able to carry children. Whatever the reason was, I was the lucky one to have not one, but two children.

Teaser 2

Although I was happy to be able to see my family, there were unthinkable things going through my head constantly. My family would never know how difficult it was for me to be around them. The smell of their skin. Their pulsating blood vessels, the sound of their heartbeats. Everything in a vampire’s body screamed and pushed us to kill at the thought, sight or smell of fresh blood. I had to learn how to control myself around humans. I learned to pull back my instinct to dig my fangs into their delicious tender meat. It took more willpower than I could ever imagine.
