Hello and welcome to Madness Monday

Well, what a difference a weekend makes. Over the last four day’s several things have happened. First was some sound advice for a fellow author into how to make the most of my brand, which is me and what to do.

So what have I done? I have created a logo for myself, and created a banner and put out feelers for some head shots and once response to my searched have given me cause some excitement, they also work as a journalist for the local paper here in York and he’s mentioned about the possibility of doing a piece on me. I also contacted my university to update my information and tell them a few minor things and they’ve sent me some stuff to full in that may end up on either the course booklets, promotional material and the website.

Also I have been introduced to picmonkey and I’ve been getting pictures ready for the Halloween even. I am thinking about sharing my pictures on here. Most are spooky and I have a few I love more than others.

Hello readers,

I’m a little hyper today so I am doing various promo’s for both my book and a Halloween event.

Spilt Blood is coming along nicely and I’m hoping to get it to the beta readers by the months end. I’m super excited that it will be shared with numerous readers. My second novel signed and the first of a series. I wanted to share it with you guys and to have it signed is very excited.

Some fellow authors at the same publishing house are holding an event for Halloween. There will be fun and games, free stories and prose, giveaways and music. I’m co-hosting from 10-12 UK time. I’m excited about it. It’s a thank you for our friends.

Here’s the link, join and share with you friends.

There’s a free copy of Red Eyes and Shattered Souls, shorts stories and prose shared during the night while music and games are taking place. Its a Facebook events much like our Release Parties. I want as many of you there as possible.

Come and join the fun.

Happy Writing

Hello guys

So summer’s on its way out and the nights are becoming longer and longer but the best news is that Halloween is getting closer to, that and winter solstice is near too.

I have been thinking about a few things of late including why I became a writer. The truth is I never set out to be an author. I used to write, as a child, to express my fantasies about my favourite TV show characters paying special attention to Michael Shanks, Tom Welling and Nick Lea to name but a few.

During my time at University I began writing a book on child abuse, types, how to investigate and so on. During that time I got the idea for a novel originally titled Blakesmith Catacombs, now titled Twisted Covern. When I moved to York I started a writing class and my teacher told me that it was worth publishing.

The class opened something in my head and soon I was over run with ideas. Red Eyes and Shattered Souls were originally submissions for anthology’s but were release on their own and now Spilt Blood has been signed.

I have fallen in love with it and the reviews I’ve had have pushed me forward.

Happy writing
